In 1940 Jean Prouvé turned his attention to wood as a material development and design, realizing the Tabouret Solvay Stool, produced by Vitra.
Tabouret Solvay is a stool with a sturdy top that rests on three solid oak feet. The elements are connected together by a structure made of bent sheet. In memory of a tropical wood version known as "Table Africaine", this new edition is also available in natural oak, oak and hickory smoked.
